In the historic centre of Woerden there are good restaurants and shops, an authentic windmill and a museum in the old town hall, which dates from 1640.
The swimming pool is just 200 metres away.
The area is ideal for walking and cycling, either through the rural polder landscape or along the Old Rhine or by Linschoterbos woods. See the map below for various trails.
1 km away there is boat hire at de Boerinn where you can hire canoes and have fun on and in the water (poldersport).
At Kameryck there is also pitch and put mini-golf, a lookout tower and a children’s petting farm.
There are direct train links to Utrecht (10 min.), Amsterdam (40 min.), Rotterdam (35 min.) and The Hague (45 min.) which offer many interesting museums and attractions to visit.
